HID ARC
HALOGEN STYLE FILAMENT
Our HID systems only use 35 watt and give out up to 300% brighter light than a standard 55w halogen and our 55 watt HID kits give up to 400%
brighter light when compared to standard halogen bulbs.
When you calculate all your vehicles halogen lights up normally 55w - 130w each bulb it adds up very high and in some cases adds up higher than
what the alternator actually can supply this making HID lighting greater for battery lifespan, alternator and electrics lifespan, battery supply, etc. With
4WD vehicle owners allot will turn off there headlights or spot lights to save battery power when winching is in progress, though with HID lighting as
the drawing power is minimal this now allows you to winch in a daylight look lit area knowing you are using very minimal power consumption.
STANDARD HALOGEN
35W 6000K HID
HID lighting has 2 main components:

1. The bulb: which a glass tube filled with xenon gas, metal halide salts and other substances with two electrodes within the tube which supplies the
arc to form the controlled discharge.
2. The ballast: which supplies the bulbs electrodes with a controlled high voltage current of up to 23,000 volts. (we suggest that the high voltage wires
between the ballast and globes not be cut or modified in any way, this will void all warranties, we do offer extension cables if cables do need to be
lengthened between the globe and ballast)
The arc of the xenon gas heats the tube to such a high temperature that the metal salts vaporizes with in the bulb. This metal vapour enables light to
quickly achieve its full potential both in lumen's and colour temperature. The arc tube is surrounded by an outer glass tube that filters out the UV part
of the lights spectrum.
We stock all HID globes and kit styles in 6,000k as for Australian driving conditions find this to be the best (K) kelvin temperature though all other
colours available by pre ordering.
for heavy fog or snow conditions we suggest 4300k which is most commonly found best for USA, UK etc
HID (High Intensity Discharge) has many applications in the automotive industry, HID lighting is now found on most luxury vehicles such as BMW,
Porche, Mercedes Benz, Lexus and top end Nissan, Holden and Ford.
There are so many advantages with HID lighting over common Halogen filament style globes.

1. 3,000HR LIFESPAN
2. MINIMAL POWER CONSUMPTION
3. EASY PLUG AND PLAY INSTALLATION
4. SAFETY NIGHT DRIVING
5. REDUCES DOWN TIME
6. REPLACES STANDARD GLOBES IN SPOTLIGHTS/HEADLIGHTS
7. LESS HEAT OUTPUT THAN STANDARD 55W GLOBES
8. ALL 35W AND 55W KITS COME WITH MULTIVOLT BALLASTS THAT CAN BE FITTED TO EITHER 12V OR 24V APPLICATIONS

A HID globe can last up to 10 times longer than a standard halogen globe at 300% brighter, they run cooler than a halogen globe which makes HID
lighting ideal for the newer polycarbonate lenses which are being used on headlights these days and they have no filament to burn out or break like
a halogen bulb as HID lighting uses the arc effect for light output.
